Muizenberg beach in winter

Muizenberg beachfront quietens down in winter. The rain and howling winds create empty spaces. There’s a lot of grey.

I’ve always enjoyed photographing Muizenberg in winter. There’s a lot going on despite the apparent emptiness.

I came across this abandoned top the other day, dripping wet from the rain and hung up on the fence above the Zandvlei estuary. No owner in sight.
