Making large prints

Making large prints brings photos to life.

There is something about the level of detail, gentle shifts in tone, and texture in a physical print that is lost on-screen. I was reminded of this recently when producing A2-sized prints for my good friends Daniel Morchain and Nicholas Pringle.

A short video of the prints for Nic and Dan (printed by the expert team at Print Art Cape Town).

The images that will be hanging on their walls in Canada and The Netherlands, respectively, are close to my heart. They're part of a long-term project (started in 2016) photographing my hometown beach Muizenberg. This project has helped cement a deep connection to place for me, and shaped my thoughts around observation, transformation, and intersection. It's given me a profound appreciation for the natural world.

(Thanks to Nic and Dan! Great to know these photos are with you).
